The present book attempts to give a resume of this material and to a certain extent, to generalize it. The material has been arranged as such that the reader need not continually refer elsewhere. In Volume 1, the authors gave the basic theory of quantum by: 3. Advances in Quantum Electronics, Volume 2 deals with the effects of quantum mechanics on the behavior of electrons in matter.

This book is divided into three chapters. Chapter 1 reviews the statistical properties of optical fields and spectral processing techniques, including the use of photon correlation techniques to measure scattering effects in a number of different media.

Quantum Electronics, Volume 2: Maser Amplifiers and Oscillators deals with the experimental and theoretical aspects of maser amplifiers and oscillators which are based on the principles of quantum electronics. It shows how the concepts and equations used in quantum electronics follow from the basic principles of theoretical physics.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this situation. The volume describes the basic theory of quantum electronics, and shows how the concepts and equations followed in quantum electronics arise from the basic principles of theoretical physics.

The book then briefly discusses the interaction of an electromagnetic field with matter. Measurements of water molecule isotopomer concentrations in a discharge of inert gas with addition of H 2 O and D 2 vapours by the method of external-cavity diode laser spectroscopy A.V.

Bernatskiy et al Quantum Electron. 49 Quantum Electronics: A Treatise, Volume I: Nonlinear Optics, Part A deals with the theoretical and experimental aspects of the nonlinear optical susceptibilities and process. This volume is composed of two parts encompassing seven chapters. Quantum Electronics, Volume 2: Maser Amplifiers and Oscillators deals with the experimental and theoretical aspects of maser amplifiers and oscillators which are based on the principles of quantum electronics.

It shows how the concepts and equations used in quantum electronics follow from the basic principles of theoretical Edition: 1. The book as a whole is designed for the reader with a knowledge of theoretical physics (quantum mechanics in particular) at university level. It should be pointed out that the material in the various sections of the book is of differing degrees of complexity.

@article{osti_, title = {Quantum electronics. Volume Part B}, author = {Tang, C L}, abstractNote = {This book provides a concise reference for investigators and advanced students doing research in the field of quantum electronics or using laser-type devices or related techniques.

The bulk of the papers review and summarize facts about the different types of laser sources. Advances in Quantum Electronics, Volume 3 covers articles on the theoretical and experimental work undertaken in the field of optical pumping and on gaseous ion lasers. The book presents an overview of the optical-pumping field and a review of the use and properties of the density matrix as applied to the statistical behavior of assemblages of.

As others have said, there is a lot of overlap between the two. Quantum Electronics is in desperate need of a complete makeover. The book has the bones of a good text but lacks a coherent high level vision and the attention to detail that a good text has/5(11). The volume describes the basic theory of quantum electronics, and shows how the concepts and equations followed in quantum electronics arise from the basic principles of theoretical physics.

The book then briefly discusses the interaction of an electromagnetic field with Edition: 1.The IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics is dedicated to the publication of manuscripts reporting novel experimental or theoretical results. Published bi-monthly by the IEEE Photonics Society, in both web-based and print form, the journal comprises original contributions describing significant advances in the understanding of quantum electronics phenomena or the demonstration of new devices.
